Native Habitat: Amazon River basin, Brazil Temperament: Generally peaceful for a cichlid, but will become territorial when breeding and raising fry. Feeding: Thawed frozen and live adult brine shrimp, newly hatched brine shrimp nauplii, bloodworms, beef heart, small pieces of water packed tuna, and other small live worms. Not recommended for the beginner aquarist, certainly regarding attempting to breed and raise fry.
